MLB Home Run Parlay Picks for Wednesday, May 14
It’s a rare day on the baseball calendar — 17 games are on tap this Wednesday thanks to a couple of rainouts on Tuesday, giving us a jam-packed MLB slate. That means more chances to spot value in the home run market, especially with a few shaky arms toeing the rubber across the league. The mission? Find three hitters likely to go yard and cash one monster home run parlay.
With so many games to choose from, we’ve already done the heavy lifting and narrowed it down to three top picks who are primed to leave the yard today. And yes, it’s a longshot, but with +24953 odds, the potential payout is well worth the play. Be sure to also back each leg individually and consider two-leg combos for added value.
Let’s break down today’s home run parlay picks.
Home Run Parlay for Wednesday, May 14
Leg 1: Matt Chapman to Hit a Home Run (+450 – FanDuel)
I’m not typically one to bet on home runs in daytime games — those tend to lean toward pitchers. But Matt Chapman might just be the exception to the rule. He’s been crushing in day games this season and now faces Eduardo Rodriguez, someone Chapman has had previous success against.
Despite a limited sample size, Chapman has five extra-base hits in 18 career plate appearances versus Rodriguez — a sign that he’s seeing the ball well against him. Even if he doesn’t take Rodriguez deep, Arizona’s bullpen is one of the most homer-prone in the league, so there’s plenty of opportunity for Chapman to get one out.
Leg 2: Brandon Lowe to Hit a Home Run (+500 – FanDuel)
Next up is Brandon Lowe, who looks primed to take advantage of both starter and bullpen pitching from Toronto. While my initial lean was toward Junior Caminero, it’s hard to ignore how well Lowe matches up with Chris Bassitt’s pitch mix.
Lowe has already taken Bassitt deep three times in his career and has been hitting the ball with authority lately — recording at least one 100+ mph exit velocity in each of his last three games. He’s clearly seeing the ball, and with Toronto’s struggling bullpen lurking, he should get the pitches he needs to go deep.
Leg 3: Ryan McMahon to Hit a Home Run (+560 – FanDuel)
We’re going back to the well with Ryan McMahon, even though he didn’t come through on Tuesday. He hit a ball 105 mph off a lefty, but the launch angle just wasn’t there. That’s part of the game.
Today, he’ll get another lefty in Patrick Corbin. While many shy away from lefty-on-lefty matchups, this one’s different. Corbin has already allowed two home runs in just 32 plate appearances this year, and McMahon is one of those lefties who can still do damage in the matchup. If he doesn’t get to Corbin, the Texas bullpen is more than hittable and gives McMahon a good shot at redemption.
Parlay Summary:
– Matt Chapman to Hit a Home Run (+450)
– Brandon Lowe to Hit a Home Run (+500)
– Ryan McMahon to Hit a Home Run (+560)
– 3-Leg Parlay Odds: +24,953
Strategy Tip:
Play each pick individually for 0.25 units, and also consider 0.25-unit two-leg combinations to spread your exposure. It’s all about balancing risk and reward while keeping the upside alive.
Good luck, and let’s cash some long balls!
