Saturday's football tips: Go for corners as set-piece kings Arsenal bid to break down Everton

Arsenal aren’t winning many admirers in the Premier League title race but they continue to lead the way and should bank three more points at home to Everton this evening.

The Toffees have been in fine form on the road, going six without defeat, but they’re up against a Gunners side who have lost just once at the Emirates all season.

So this looks like another game where Mikel Arteta’s side will grind out a win as they bid to maintain a healthy lead at the top.

Arsenal vs Everton top betting tips

Arsenal have lost just once in their last 25 games in all competitions, with Kai Havertz’s late penalty in Leverkusen on Wednesday night extending that run.

That 1-1 Champions League draw was another unconvincing performance but Bet365 still have the Gunners as 19/50 hot favourites this evening.

Arteta’s has taken flak for being overly reliant on set-pieces but he won’t care where the goals come from so long as his side keep winning.

Everton are also strong from corners so it could pay to look at that market. Combining over nine match corners with over 2.5 Toffees flag kicks pays 7/5 at Bet365.

David Moyes’ side should be defending for most of the game and the 6/4 on offer for Everton -1 in the card handicap is another decent option.

West Ham United vs Manchester City

Manchester City were embarrassed in the Bernabeu on Wednesday night and it will be interesting to see how they recover back on Premier League duty away to West Ham.

Pep Guardiola’s side went into their Champions League clash as odds-on favourites with most bookies against an injury-hit Real Madrid side.

But they crashed to a 3-0 defeat in Spain and were lucky the margin of defeat wasn’t even bigger.

City now turn their attention to reeling in Arsenal and they could be 10 points behind the Gunners, albeit with two games in hand, by the time they kick off tonight.

Nuno Espirito Santo has West Ham United scrapping for every point and will probably set up to hit Guardiola’s side on the counter attack.

That could see the corner count rack up and I like Manchester City -2 in the corner handicap at 20/21 with Bet365.

If Guardiola’s side are as open as they were in the Bernabeu, West Ham should get a few sights of goal and talisman Jarrod Bowen looks good value at evens for over 0.5 shots on target.

Celtic vs Motherwell

It’s another big weekend in the SPFL Premiership title race and Celtic need to bank three points at home to a dangerous Motherwell side.

The Hoops have come through an arduous run of away games, emerging unbeaten from two trips to Ibrox and clashes with Stuttgart and Aberdeen.

They will be glad to be back at home today but the task doesn’t get much easier against a Motherwell side who have lit up the Premiership this season.

The Steelmen outclassed the champions in a 2-0 Fir Park win in the last meeting and Celtic needed a late goal to salvage a 3-2 victory on Well’s last visit.

Jens Berthel Askou will set up his side to have a go so it bodes well for another entertaining game. BTTS and over 2.5 goals pays 20/21 at Bet365 while over 1.5 first-half goals is a bit better at 5/4.

Celtic will be looking for top scorer Benjamin Nygren to step up again and the Swede is 11/10 with Bet365 for over 1.5 efforts on target.
