Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur should field shadow sides tonight with the countdown well underway for next Wednesday’s Europa League Final.
And that’s good news for both Chelsea and Aston Villa as they look to boost their Champions League prospects with three precious points tonight.
The teams battling for a top-five slot have home advantage so it’s no surprise to see them as heavy favourites for wins tonight.
Doubling them up doesn’t quite get you above evens but if you add on over 1.5 goals in both the games it takes you to a decent 13/10 at BoyleSports.
Chelsea vs Manchester United top betting tips
Chelsea’s bid for a Champions League place suffered a blow on Sunday as they lost 2-0 at Newcastle and had striker Nicolas Jackson sent off.
But they actually played quite well with 10 men for the whole of the second half and could have pinched a point before Bruno Guimaraes netted a late clincher.
Enzo Maresca’s side should have too much for quality for a weakened Manchester United side with one eye on next week’s Euro showpiece, with BoyleSports making them 1/3 favourites.
It will be interesting to see what Maresca does in attack as he doesn’t have a central striker available and Jadon Sancho can’t face his parent club.
Pedro Neto has played through the middle a couple of times this term so the winger looks good for anytime scorer at 7/4.
Cole Palmer might have a few digs from distance and he’s a tempting 23/20 at William Hill for over 1.5 efforts on target.
Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur top betting tips
Tottenham are hoping European glory can salvage a dismal season after suffering their 20th Premier League defeat when Crystal Palace beat them 2-0 at home on Sunday.
I’d imagine Ange Postecoglou won’t risk any of his star players tonight, particularly key defenders Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, so Aston Villa look worthy 1/3 favourites at BoyleSports.
Unai Emery’s men sit outside the top five only on goal difference and should get plenty of joy against a rejigged defence.
Morgan Rogers looks good at 13/8 for anytime scorer at BoyleSports while the odds for an assist are bigger at 3/1.
The game could peter out if Villa grab a few first-half goals so I also like the 11/8 on offer for most corners to come in the first half.
Livingston vs Partick Thistle
Livingston have one foot in the SPFL Premiership play-off final after beating Partick Thistle 2-0 at Firhill in the first leg of their semi.
The Jags can take a little bit of hope from the fact they also lost at home to Ayr in the quarter-finals before turning it around on the road.
But they were only 1-0 down in that tie and it will be much tougher against David Martindale’s men with injuries and fatigue taking a toll.
BoyleSports make the Lions 4/6 favourites for a win on the night but you can boost the odds to 11/10 by adding on over 1.5 goals.
Cristian Montano had a couple of good chances in the first leg and the Livingston star is 2/1 at Bet365 for a goal in the return.
