In my 30 years in the gaming industry, never have we seen a year like 2020 - some of the highest highs and some of the lowest lows. The year started out with so much promise - operating budgets blowing through revenue forecasts and iGaming and sports wagering expanding at an explosive pace. Then Covid hit, and our focus changed to keeping customers and team members healthy and safe and utilizing technology to create automation and a contactless approach to the casino gaming experience.

Out of adversity comes opportunity; out of challenge comes innovation. SCCG led the way in 2020, being on the forefront of sports betting expansion with providers: Betfred (Sportsbook), BettorLogic (AI / CRM), BOA Gaming (social sports), Golden Race (virtuals), LSports (pricing / AI), Oddin.gg (esports data), Scout Gaming (fantasy/ social Sportsbook) and Sporting Solutions (pricing/ risk management). Next year in 2021, we will continue to set the pace in iGaming and sports wagering, adding industry leaders LRI Media (affiliate marketing) Triggy Bet (live score). We also will be adding client partners in esports PVP, digital payments, live dealer, slot aggregation, online casino, data storage, CRM, and more. Next year we expect more of the same challenges, but we also see the light at the end of the tunnel. The acceleration of the movement towards Omnichannel digital gaming is a good thing with proper regulations and controls. The brick and mortar casino will always be relevant and essential to the communities that casinos serve. Proliferating the content and the ease at which we can access it will only help bring in a younger demographic to enjoy this form of entertainment for generations to come.
