Battle of Malta is expanding to Spain. The popular European poker festival will hold its Barcelona Edition at Casino Barcelona from January 20-24, 2027. The move follows the success of Battle of Slovakia at Card Casino Bratislava and pairs the Battle of Malta brand with an iconic venue known for major live poker events.
The schedule centers on a €600 Main Event with a 40,000 starting stack. Standard Day 1 flights run on 40-minute levels beginning at blinds of 100/100. Players hit 400 big blinds at the start. Breaks occur after Level 4, with a 45-minute dinner break after Level 8. Late registration ends after Level 11, at which point max late registrants enter with 16 big blinds. The turbo Day 1d uses 20-minute levels without a dinner break and ends around 3:30 p.m.
Day 2 begins January 23 at 5:00 p.m. on 50-minute levels for eleven levels. The final day starts January 24 at 4:00 p.m. with one-hour levels until a champion is decided. The current Battle of Malta Autumn Edition has drawn 5,368 entrants for a €2,413,281 prize pool and a €227,835 top prize.
