A lucky player at Resorts World Las Vegas has become the recipient of the casino’s latest jackpot. This incredible seven-figure prize was awarded not too long after another player won a similarly exciting sum.
Lightning Strikes a Second Time at Resorts World Las Vegas
According to Resorts World Las Vegas’ official announcement, lightning has struck twice as the casino has awarded two jackpots in less than a month. The most recent jackpot was won by a guest who was experiencing one of the casino’s Double Super Times Pay Poker machines.
Resorts World Las Vegas noted that the player wagered $105 only to land on three Royal Flushes at the same time. Due to his 20x multiplier, he turned his wager into an unbelievable $1.2 million payday.
For context, Double Super Times Pay Poker is a game developed by IGT.
Resorts World Las Vegas congratulated the lucky winner on their incredible success and so did many of its social media followers. According to one commenter on Facebook, the odds of hitting three Royal Flushes were 1 in 9.75 million. Others were happy for the winner but regretted that they could not afford to pay $105 per spin.
Former Resorts World Executives in Hot Water
While the lucky poker player can look forward to some incredible and unforgettable holidays, things have been a bit rougher for Resorts World Las Vegas, which is currently facing a federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) lawsuit that targets former casino executives.
The case is related to alleged misconduct from the property’s former president, Scott Sibella and ex-vendor, David Chesnoff. According to the complaint, the two were involved in severe fraud, including a racketeering scheme that enabled illegal bookmaking, money laundering, and witness tampering.
This is not the first time the plaintiffs have tried to sue Resorts World.
