SBC has formed a Regulatory Advisory Board that assembles former regulators, industry executives, and internal leaders to improve structured engagement on gaming policy matters. Andrew Gellatly, Former Executive Director of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, chairs the group. The board supplies strategic input on SBC initiatives, surfaces emerging regulatory questions, and supports direct exchanges between licensed operators, lotteries, policymakers, and associations.

Rasmus Sojmark, SBC founder and CEO, described regulation as one of the most important factors shaping the future of the industry. He pointed to complex discussions underway across Europe, North America, and other markets on taxation, licensing, player protection, illegal gambling, and the sustainability of regulated markets. Sojmark said SBC aims to extend its role in convening the industry by creating space for open, informed, and constructive conversations between regulators and industry leaders.

Gellatly added that gaming regulation is becoming increasingly complex and varied while confronting many of the same challenges. The board, he stated, offers a chance to combine perspectives from experienced industry leaders, identify emerging issues, and encourage constructive dialogue between regulators and licensed operators. He expressed readiness to support SBC in expanding its regulatory initiatives across international markets.

Composition of the Inaugural Board

The board lists David Foster, Group Director of International Regulatory Affairs, Entain; Yannis Xirotiris, Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs, Kaizen Gaming; Jon Polanec, VP Global Risk & Market Integrity, Super; Francesco Rodano, Head of Responsible Gaming, Allwyn; Charmaine Hogan, Global Head of Government Relations, Playtech; Jessica Feil, SVP & General Counsel, OpenBet; Morten Ronde, International Gambling Regulation & Strategy at Nordic Legal and former Danish regulator; and Eleonore Para, public affairs consultant and former gaming regulator. SBC is represented by Sojmark, Managing Director Andrew McCarron, and Eve Hartley, Head of Legal, who serves as Secretary.

Priority on Regulatory Forums

A principal task is to assist development of the SBC Leaders Regulatory Forums. The European event is set for April 19, 2027, in Amsterdam alongside SBC Summit Europe and is projected to draw 350 senior decision-makers from Europe’s regulated gaming industry. A North American edition planned for Toronto will gather 250 senior regulatory and industry leaders from the United States and Canada. The effort extends SBC’s existing partnerships with the International Association of Gaming Regulators and the International Masters of Gaming Law, according to reporting by SBC Americas. The board and related projects are intended to furnish a platform for sustained collaboration on responsible, competitive, and sustainable regulated gaming markets.
