SIGA has chosen Bede Gaming to develop and launch its own branded platform BetSIGA in Spring 2027. The new site will replace PlayNow, which has been Saskatchewan’s only legal online gaming option since November 2022. Emphasis is placed on modular technology, player personalisation, and comprehensive responsible gaming controls.

SCCG Take — The move gives SIGA direct ownership of its digital ecosystem and tighter alignment with community revenue goals and regulatory standards. Other tribal operators may watch how the modular build supports future integration across land-based and online channels.

The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) has selected Bede Gaming as its new online gaming platform provider. The organizations will design, build, and launch BetSIGA, a branded digital ecosystem available via responsive website and dedicated iOS and Android apps. This follows a competitive procurement process.

BetSIGA is scheduled to launch in Spring 2027. It will replace the PlayNow platform, which SIGA has operated as Saskatchewan’s only legally recognised online gaming platform since November 2022. Existing players will migrate to the new site.

Platform Design and Core Controls

BetSIGA will be customised to the Saskatchewan player base. It relies on open, modular technology designed to grow with player expectations, regulatory needs, and SIGA’s digital strategy. The platform supports data, loyalty, and personalisation opportunities while linking to SIGA’s broader gaming ecosystem.

Safe and trusted play is central. Built-in controls include identity verification, geolocation, anti-money laundering, security, player protection, and responsible gaming tools.

Zane Hansen, SIGA president & CEO, said: “BetSIGA is an important next step in SIGA’s long-term digital gaming strategy. This will be our own platform, built with a partner that shares our commitment to safe, responsible and engaging play, and it will continue to share success with revenue distributed to support First Nation communities and Saskatchewan.”

Partnership Scope and Timeline

Colin Cole-Johnson, chief executive officer at Bede Gaming, said: “This partnership extends far beyond technology implementation. It represents a significant opportunity to combine trusted technology, deep sector expertise and true operational collaboration. SIGA has a clear and ambitious vision for the future of gaming in Saskatchewan, and we are proud to support the team in building a connected digital ecosystem that will deliver exceptional player experiences and sustainable long-term value.”

As reported by Focus Gaming News, the Spring 2027 target gives SIGA time to complete migration and testing while maintaining uninterrupted service for players.
