Champions Club Texas launched a $150,000 Rebirth of Champions promotion on October 1 running through January 16, 2027. It features daily Royal Champion Jackpots starting at $2,500 and a $100,000 finale. New Poker Director Mike Traylor aims to broaden appeal to recreational cash game players.

SCCG Take — The promotion models targeted incentives to attract recreational players alongside tournament regulars. Poker rooms should evaluate similar mechanics to drive consistent table volume.

Champions Club Texas, co-owned by 17-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth, is running a $150,000 promotion for cash game and tournament players. The Rebirth of Champions launched on October 1 and runs through January 16, 2027. It offers prizes without requiring a tournament win, according to reporting by PokerNews.

The promotion has two components totaling the full amount. The Royal Champion Jackpot represents $50,000 of that sum through daily drawings. The balance goes to the $100,000 Rebirth Finale scheduled for the final weekend.

Royal Champion Jackpot Details

Two daily sessions create entries for the jackpot drawings. The morning session runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The evening session runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Each begins at $2,500 and increases by $200 per unclaimed drawing, with a potential top prize of $25,000.

A drawn player selects a sealed card from the display. One card awards the progressive jackpot while others provide cash or promotional prizes. Players earn up to 14 entries per session, or 28 daily, with bonuses for on-time arrival and full-session play. At least one full hour is required for the start-time bonus. Participants must be present and playing at draw time.

Rebirth Finale and New Poker Director Priorities

The Rebirth Finale occurs January 15-16 with $50,000 in mystery prizes available each day. Qualifying runs through January 14. Entries accumulate from cash game hours and tournament play, and prior Royal Champion entries since October 1 count toward the finale.

The promotion aligns with the appointment of Mike Traylor as Poker Director. Traylor previously served as General Manager at Texas Card House Spring. He told PokerNews his priority is making the club as appealing to everyday cash game players as it is to tournament regulars.

"The average recreational player doesn't see us as the club for the 'leisurely player,'" Traylor explained, adding that his vision was to reintroduce Champions Club as a destination for players of all skill levels and stakes. The room hosts the RunGood Poker Series and holds a strong tournament reputation.
