LAS VEGAS, November 4, 2026. SCCG Management today announced that SCCG portfolio company Tater, a prediction market data and analytics platform, was featured on CNBC's Closing Bell. The network used Tater's data to explain how Kalshi traders priced the midterm elections.
The feature is Tater's official debut as a media asset in the prediction market and wagering landscape. Its insights cover everything from sports markets to politics.
In a segment titled "Betting on the Midterms," CNBC ran a full-screen graphic credited to Tater, "Kalshi Traders & the Blue Wave." It showed two numbers as of Tuesday afternoon:

CNBC's Closing Bell, "Betting on the Midterms": Tater's graphic on Kalshi traders and the Senate.
The 13-point gap is the story. The headline Senate-control market pointed one way, and the individual contracts underneath it pointed much higher. Tater's contract-level analysis is built to find exactly that kind of gap.
CNBC paired the Tater graphic with Kalshi's own scorecard. It showed market favorites winning 94% of governor races, 94% of Senate races and 95% of House races (as of 5 p.m. Tuesday).

Prediction market contracts trade between $0 and $1. A contract pays $1 if the outcome happens and nothing if it doesn't, so a price of $0.74 implies about a 74% chance. Tater pulls individual contracts together into a single read on what the market expects. It then compares that read with the headline market. When the two disagree, the gap shows where traders may be mispricing an outcome.
Prediction markets have moved from a niche corner of trading into national financial and political coverage. Major outlets now cite contract prices alongside polls and forecasts. They need data partners that can turn raw market activity into clear, accurate numbers that work on air. CNBC's on-air credit puts Tater among those sources.
"When CNBC wants to explain what prediction markets are saying on election night, it needs data it can trust, and it turned to Tater," said Stephen Crystal, Founder and CEO of SCCG Management.
“On election night we recorded Kalshi, Polymarket and Polymarket US minute by minute on the same races. Two things stood out: the Senate-control market sat at 74% while its own race contracts implied about 87%, and every venue missed the same upsets. That’s the kind of cross-venue check one exchange alone can’t show you, and it’s what we built Tater to do,” said Ivo Dimitrov, co-founder of Tater.
Tater, co-founded by Stephen Crystal and Ivo Dimitrov, is a prediction market data and analytics platform that turns live contract prices into clear implied probabilities. It tracks individual contracts across prediction markets, combines them into an overall read on what traders expect, and flags gaps between headline markets and the contracts underneath them. Journalists, analysts and investors use Tater to follow how markets price elections, economic events, sports and other outcomes. Learn more at www.taterit.com.
