SCCG Take — This proprietary platform gives SIGA direct control over its online gaming while embedding community revenue distribution and strict safeguards.
Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) has selected Bede Gaming as its online gaming platform provider for a new SIGA-branded offering called BetSIGA. The platform is scheduled to launch in spring 2027 through a responsive website and dedicated iOS and Android mobile apps. This follows a competitive procurement process and marks the next phase for SIGA's online operations in the province.
BetSIGA is planned to replace the existing PlayNow platform, which SIGA has operated in Saskatchewan since November 2022 as the province’s only legally recognized online gaming platform. Existing players will be migrated to the new system. As reported by Indian Gaming, the platform will be customized for Saskatchewan players and built on open, modular technology.
Zane Hansen, SIGA President & CEO, said: “BetSIGA is an important next step in SIGA’s long-term digital gaming strategy. This will be our own platform, built with a partner that shares our commitment to safe, responsible and engaging play, and it will continue to share success with revenue distributed to support First Nation communities and Saskatchewan.”
The new platform will support data, loyalty and personalization capabilities. It is designed to connect digital play with SIGA’s broader gaming ecosystem. These elements form part of the tailored approach for players in the province.
Player protections on BetSIGA include identity verification, geolocation, anti-money laundering measures, security, player protection and responsible gaming controls. The selection of Bede Gaming reflects a focus on these standards alongside the platform’s other features. This transition maintains the flow of revenue to support First Nation communities while advancing SIGA’s digital offerings.
