Okada Play recorded over PHP100 million (US$1.58 million) GGR in October, a 50% MoM rise, with DAUs exceeding 100,000 six months after its May launch. The platform offers 4,000+ titles from 20+ providers. PhilWeb anticipates comparable milestones from additional partner brands by year-end.
SCCG Take — The figures demonstrate how licensed online extensions can stabilize revenue for Philippine IR operators facing variable physical traffic.
Okada Play generated gross gaming revenue exceeding PHP100 million (US$1.58 million) in October. The total reflects a circa 50 percent month-on-month increase and the platform's strongest result since its formal launch in May.
The joint statement came from Okada Manila, the licensed casino resort, and PhilWeb Corp, the provider of the business-to-business online gaming platform. Daily active users topped 100,000 during the month.
Okada Play offers more than 4,000 gaming titles from over 20 integrated gaming content providers. Both Okada Manila and PhilWeb Corp hold licenses from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. The platform is positioned to reduce exposure to swings in land-based casino performance and visitor volumes while drawing new customer groups, according to earlier comments from parent Universal Entertainment Corp.
PhilWeb expects its online gaming platforms with other partner brands to reach similar PHP100 million monthly GGR levels before year-end.
Nobuki Sato, president and chief operating officer of Okada Manila, called the results an encouraging milestone. Reaching more than 100,000 daily active users within six months of launch is an encouraging milestone for Okada Play. This marks an important step in the company’s digital growth strategy and the platform’s next phase will focus on expanded offerings and premium customer delivery.
PhilWeb chairman Lance Gokongwei attributed the acceleration to the pairing of an integrated resort brand with scalable technology infrastructure. Gokongwei stated the platform “is well-positioned for its next phase of growth,” as reported by GGRAsia.
