SCCG Take — Cost optimization and user metric gains allowed DigiPlus to protect earnings in a constrained Philippine market. Operators should track whether these efficiency levers deliver sustained hold improvement as regulatory costs evolve.

DigiPlus Interactive Corp posted improved earnings in the third quarter of 2026 through tighter expense controls and more effective advertising deployment. The Philippine online gaming operator achieved this outcome even as net gaming revenue after tax declined.

Net gaming revenue after tax fell 17 percent year-on-year to Php16.2 billion (US$255 million). Third-quarter EBITDA rose 0.3 percent from the June 2026 quarter to Php2.9 billion (US$65 million). The EBITDA margin expanded by four percentage points to 22 percent.

The company recorded nine-month net income of Php8.9 billion (US$140 million) inclusive of fair value gains from International Entertainment Corporation convertible bonds. Nine-month EBITDA totaled Php8.3 billion (US$131 million). Cash and cash equivalents stood at Php11.7 billion (US$184 million) at quarter-end, up 11 percent from the prior period.

Average monthly active users rose 3 percent quarter-on-quarter to 5.9 million. Monthly active bettors and depositors increased 5 percent to 4.9 million. The operator began reporting the NGR after tax metric in 2Q26 to provide a clearer view of revenue retained after regulatory fees, game provider costs, marketing expenses, payment fees, direct gaming costs and taxes.

Margin Gains Stem From Operational Discipline

DigiPlus attributed the EBITDA margin improvement to optimization of direct gaming costs, tighter control of operating expenses and more effective deployment of advertising and promotional spending. The company stated that these efficiencies more than offset lower revenues linked to the evolving regulatory environment and weaker macroeconomic conditions in the Philippines.

President Ping Chen said: “Our first nine months performance reflects the progress we are making in strengthening operating efficiency while building our user base and content. We remain focused on sustainable growth through self-development of compelling content, stronger user acquisitions and retention, and disciplined spending on A&P and investments.”

New Content Additions Target User Retention

DigiPlus expanded its digital entertainment portfolio with nine new self-developed games. These include live titles Bingo Speed and Live Mines plus RNG-based games Beto Beto and Pinoy Drop Ball International. Through a partnership with Regal Entertainment the operator launched five titles inspired by the Shake, Rattle & Roll film franchise on the BingoPlus platform with further releases planned for ArenaPlus and GameZone.
