SiGMA World 2026 returns to Rome expecting more than 30,000 delegates, over 1,200 sponsors and exhibitors, and more than 550 speakers. The event will occupy 120,000 square meters at Fiera Roma, uniting gaming, affiliate marketing, blockchain, AI, and financial services. Organizers have added a dedicated Italy Stage and a Positive Impact Village for charities, NGOs, and social enterprises.

Eman Pulis, founder of SiGMA, outlined the strategy in an interview with Yogonet International. The approach builds on the event's origins in Malta with a deliberate focus on cross-sector interaction and lasting business value rather than attendance totals alone. Italy's established gaming sector and evolving regulatory framework make it a strategic hub for connecting local operators, suppliers, international investors, regulators, and technology providers.

Balancing Scale Against Genuine Business Connections

Pulis described Rome as a platform where SiGMA, Affiliate Grand Slam, AIBC, and FX converge while preserving sector identities. The Italy Stage directs attention to local market developments and links them to global discussions. As regulation changes, demand grows for compliance tools, payment solutions, and responsible practices that pair growth with player safeguards.

Scale alone holds limited meaning. Pulis stated that "the measure of success is not simply how many people walk through an event's doors. It is what happens after they leave." Organizers therefore invest in content, dedicated networking spaces, startup competitions, and navigation technology. Many decisive conversations still occur informally outside the official schedule.

The Measure of Success

The Positive Impact Village places social enterprises directly within the exhibition. Pulis explained that "success should also be measured by what we give back." The SiGMA Foundation's prior work in education and community projects informed the initiative, treating measurable social contributions as integral to the event rather than an add-on.

Future direction centers on industry convergence. Pulis identified artificial intelligence applications in customer experience, fraud prevention, efficiency, and compliance alongside blockchain for payments and transparency. Financial services remain pivotal across regulatory environments. Regional distinctions in Latin America, Africa, and Asia require tailored local knowledge and relationships. Events serve as starting points; the platform's value rests in the partnerships, insights, and initiatives that develop afterward.
