Konami's gaming segment profit surged 154.5% to JPY2.41 billion in the first half on strong slot machine sales, with revenue up 41.3% and margins doubling to 10%. Growth came from Solstice cabinets and series like Bomberman in stable North American and Australian markets. The company held its full-year segment guidance.

SCCG Take — Operators should note sustained demand for Konami's hardware and Synkros platform in replacement cycles, confirming equipment refresh as a reliable revenue driver for suppliers.

Konami Group Corp posted a 154.5 percent year-on-year increase in business profit for its gaming and systems division in the six months to September 30. Segmental business profit reached approximately JPY2.41 billion (US$15.3 million), up from JPY949 million a year earlier. Revenue rose 41.3 percent to JPY25.11 billion, lifting the operating profit margin to circa 10 percent from 5 percent, as reported by GGRAsia.

Performance Drivers in Stable Markets

Higher gaming machine unit sales powered the result. The Solstice 49C cabinet with its curved 49-inch ultra-high-definition display was central to the gains. The “Bomberman” slot series led sales in North America while the “Dragon Rush” and “Bull Rush Stampede” series remained well received in Australia.

Konami Group described both the North American and Australian gaming markets as stable. New casino openings and replacement demand at existing properties continued to create placement opportunities.

Product Pipeline and Maintained Guidance

The supplier unveiled the Solstice 27 and Solstice SuperNova additions to its cabinet range at the recent Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas. Both machines target a fourth-quarter 2026 release, the former with “Bull Blitz Rampage” and the latter with “Dragon’s Law Super Fortune”.

Adoption of the Synkros casino management platform expanded further, with more than 150,000 slot machines now connected across properties and Carnival Corp cruise ships. Konami Group maintained its full-year forecast for the segment at JPY46 billion in revenue and JPY6.5 billion in business profit through the financial year ending March 31, 2027.
