Veikkaus signed a content partnership with Gaming Corps for slots and other games ahead of Finland's 1 July 2027 move to a licence-based market. The deal supports the operator's preparation to retain customers after losing its online exclusivity. Gaming Corps gains positioned access to a major incumbent in the opening jurisdiction.
SCCG Take — Incumbents are using pre-liberalisation supplier deals to diversify content and strengthen retention before new entrants compete for the 2.7 million customer base.
Veikkaus has signed a content partnership with Gaming Corps as Finland prepares to open its online casino and sports betting market to licensed competition on 1 July 2027. The Swedish supplier will initially provide its slots catalogue to the state-owned operator, with the agreement allowing expansion across a broader portfolio. This forms one element of Veikkaus' supplier relationships formed in advance of the regulatory shift.
The initial focus is Gaming Corps' slots, which feature established titles, varied mechanics and recognisable IP. A central element is the studio's 3 Pigs franchise, reworked across themes, features and gameplay styles. The deal also permits inclusion of table games, mine games, plinko, multiplier games and proprietary titles including Smash4Cash, A-MAZE-CADES and X-MY-WAY.
Veikkaus has operated for more than 85 years and maintains close to 2.7 million registered customers. Its products span lottery, sports betting, iCasino and Instants. The operator runs veikkaus.fi, one of Finland's largest e-commerce sites, alongside Casino Helsinki and 44 gaming arcades.
Gaming Corps was founded in 2014 and is listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market, with headquarters in Sweden and development teams in Great Britain, Malta and Ukraine. According to reporting by iGaming Future, the partnership adds to Veikkaus' growing list of supplier agreements as the operator reshapes its business for the new environment.
Graham Greensmith, Chief Commercial Officer at Gaming Corps, said: "Veikkaus is one of the most established names in European gaming, with an extraordinary reach and relationship with players in Finland. The market is now approaching one of the biggest changes in its history, so this is a particularly exciting time for us to begin working together.
"What stands out for us most is the chance to add something very different to the Veikkaus portfolio. We've built Gaming Corps around variety, with inventive mechanics, fresh concepts and a broad mix of gameplay experiences. That breadth can be a real advantage as competition in Finland increases."
Riikka Seppänen, Vice President, iCasino at Veikkaus, said: "Gaming Corps has been superb to work with, delivering its content in record time and with real precision. That speed and execution is hugely valuable to us, and their arrival comes at a great time as we continue preparing for the changes ahead in Finland.
"They bring a strong and distinctive slots portfolio that fits well with what we're looking to achieve and we're super excited to get the games live and in front of our players."
The shift ends Veikkaus' exclusivity in key verticals and ranks among the larger regulatory changes in the European iGaming sector. Early incumbent relationships offer suppliers a route into the jurisdiction as broader competition arrives.
