Galaxy Gaming Appoints John M. Boushy to Board of Directors in Leadership Transition

According to CDC Gaming, Galaxy Gaming has appointed John M. Boushy to its board of directors, effective Wednesday. Boushy succeeds Meredith Brill, who has informed the board of her intention to step down after four years of service as a Class II Director.

Boushy brings more than 45 years of leadership experience in the gaming, hospitality, technology and entertainment industries. He is the founder and managing member of Boushy Consulting, where he advises gaming operators, investors and senior executives on strategic, operational and development matters.

His prior roles include executive management positions with the parent company of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, advisor to the Second Priority Noteholders Committee during the bankruptcy of Caesars Entertainment Operating Company, board service with Caesars Entertainment after its emergence from bankruptcy, and co-founder and chairman since 2015 of the parent company of ReelMetrics.

Before establishing his consulting firm, Boushy served as CEO, president and director of Ameristar Casinos. He previously spent more than two decades with Harrah’s Entertainment in senior executive positions. There, he oversaw strategic growth initiatives, led the integration of the Harrah’s Entertainment and Caesars merger delivering twice the proforma synergies, and directed major development and capital investment projects.

Boushy is widely recognized as an innovator in the application of technology, marketing analytics and operational excellence within the gaming industry.
