SCCG Take — National recognition for non-gaming assets such as this course strengthens tribal properties’ ability to draw and retain visitors year-round.
Circling Raven Golf Club has earned the No. 10 ranking in Golfweek’s Top 50 Best U.S. Casino Courses for 2026. The course advanced seven places from the previous year’s list. Golfweek assembles the rankings from hundreds of evaluators who review thousands of courses each year according to set criteria.
Owned and operated by the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, the course is named after a tribal leader. It occupies more than 620 acres of ancestral homelands in Idaho’s Palouse Region and was designed by architect Gene Bates. Its holes traverse open countryside without surrounding development.
Circling Raven has moved higher in the Golfweek rankings in five of the past six years. Laura Penney, CEO of Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel, stated: “This is a thrilling honor as discerning golfers know that casino courses are some of the best collectively in the country.”
The layout stretches 7,189 yards from the rear tees. It lies approximately 50 minutes from Spokane International Airport and sits adjacent to the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel. On-site facilities include a golf retail shop and the Twisted Earth restaurant and bar.
The outdoor course closes from November until next spring. The Circling Raven Golf Suites will open on Nov. 14. The indoor facility will feature golf simulators offering additional games, video gaming machines, food and beverages, televisions showing sporting events, and merchandise.
