TL;DR — Enrique Razon Jr tops the Forbes Philippines 50 Richest for the first time at US$21.8 billion. Gaming-linked figures including the Sy siblings at US$9.2 billion, Gokongwei at US$1.9 billion, Tan at US$1.8 billion and Tanco at US$735 million also rank highly. SCCG Take — Philippine gaming retains significant weight in national wealth creation, with multiple sector figures in the top 20 even as aggregate rich-list fortunes contract.

Enrique Razon Jr has for the first time topped the Forbes list of the Philippines’ 50 Richest. The founder of Bloomberry Resorts Corp saw his estimated net worth surge to US$21.8 billion. This lifts him to top spot from second place a year earlier.

Forbes attributed the increase mainly to the strong performance of Razon’s global ports business, International Container Terminal Services Inc. Razon serves as chairman and chief executive of Bloomberry Resorts. The company operates the Solaire Resort Entertainment City and Solaire Resort North integrated resorts in the Philippines.

Gaming Industry Leaders Maintain Strong Presence

Several other business leaders linked to the country’s gaming industry feature prominently on the 2026 ranking, as reported by GGRAsia.

The Sy siblings slipped to second place with an estimated combined fortune of US$9.2 billion. Their interests include Belle Corp and Premium Leisure Corp, partners in the City of Dreams Manila resort. The heirs to the SM group had occupied the top spot on the list in recent years.

Lance Gokongwei and his siblings ranked 13th with an estimated combined fortune of US$1.9 billion. His gaming interests include the NUSTAR Resort and Casino in Cebu, operated by Universal Hotels and Resorts Inc. Gokongwei recently made a personal investment of approximately PHP2.03 billion (US$33 million) in gaming technology provider PhilWeb Inc and joined the company’s board of directors.

Alliance Global Group Inc chairman Andrew Tan ranked 14th with an estimated net worth of US$1.8 billion. Alliance Global controls Travellers International Hotel Group Inc, the operator of the Newport World Resorts complex in Manila.

DigiPlus Interactive Corp chairman Eusebio Tanco ranked 20th with an estimated fortune of US$735 million. DigiPlus is one of the Philippines’ largest licensed online gaming operators.

Economic Headwinds Impact Overall Wealth

The combined wealth of the country’s 50 richest individuals fell 8.1 percent year-on-year to US$79 billion. This reflects a challenging economic environment marked by inflationary pressures and a weaker Philippine peso.

We work across Asia every day, and the Philippines remains a top-tier gaming market. When five of the top 20 fortunes trace to casinos and iGaming—Razon, Sy, Gokongwei, Tan, Tanco—it tells you capital still sees runway. The macro slide makes partnership and market-entry strategy even more critical.

SCCG angle: SCCG has deep operator and supplier relationships across Manila, Cebu, and the emerging iGaming licensees. If you are evaluating Philippine market entry, partnership with incumbents, or technology plays like PhilWeb, we broker the introductions and navigate the family-office dynamics that control the licenses.
