Thunder Valley Casino Resort has named Dawn Clayton Chief Executive Officer. Clayton has 44 years of experience in gaming, hospitality, and entertainment, including 16 years at Thunder Valley and the past 13 years overseeing the resort’s day-to-day operations. She joined the property in 2010 and has taken responsibility for all facets of its business, according to reporting by Yogonet International.

In her new role, Clayton will continue managing operations while coordinating with the United Auburn Indian Community Tribal Council on long-term direction and upcoming development plans. The resort, located in Lincoln, California, and owned by the UAIC, draws millions of visitors each year and ranks among the largest employers in Placer County.

Clayton’s Career Across Gaming Segments

Clayton’s background spans commercial casinos, racinos, riverboat gaming, and tribal gaming operations. She has played a central part in several milestones at Thunder Valley, including the expansion of its hotel, the development of The Venue entertainment center, and the growth of the property’s concert and entertainment offerings.

Clayton attributed the resort’s progress to the tribe’s direction and the work of its staff.
