Super Technologies Promotes Andrei Popa to General Manager for Romania to Sustain Core Market Performance

TL;DR — Super Technologies promoted Andrei Popa to General Manager for Romania, shifting expansion duties from Adam Lamentowicz to allow focus on Poland, Serbia, and Greece. Popa, with 10 years at Super, will emphasize deeper customer insights and immersive experiences in the four-brand market that combines extensive retail and online operations.

SCCG Take — The internal appointment secures continuity in a complex dual-format market while enabling specialized regional execution across CEE.

Super Technologies, the operator of Superbet, has promoted Andrei Popa to General Manager for Romania. Adam Lamentowicz, Super’s Chief Commercial Officer Central and Eastern Europe, will delegate the country’s expansion strategy to Popa. The change allows Lamentowicz to place increased focus on business growth across Poland, Serbia, and Greece.

As reported by SBC News, Lamentowicz previously commented on the importance of the CEE region as a gaming hub. He described it as a region that “already had a passion and legacy of talent in various sports”, laying the foundations for stable and lucrative betting markets.

Popa has worked closely with Lamentowicz over the last three years as VP of Online and VP of Commercial. His responsibilities included overseeing the transformation from the single-branded Superbet to a multi-brand network comprising Napoleon Games, Superscore and Maxbet, as well as the recent rebranding to Super Technologies.

Romania remains one of Super’s core and most complex markets. It operates a vast network of local retail shops alongside its online offer. Popa will sustain the company’s long-term successful performance there.

Popa Outlines Vision for Customer-Centric Growth

On his promotion, Andrei Popa, General Manager of Super Romania, said: “I’m deeply grateful to Super and to every person who has contributed to what we have accomplished in Romania.

“10 years ago, I joined a company that was building something genuinely ambitious in a market that many underestimated. Today, we have built a four-brand ecosystem in Romania, powered by the Super Technologies engine, and we firmly believe there is still substantial room for growth.

“My focus will be on making Romania the market where Super’s boldest ideas come to life first by transforming our customer centric mindset into an even stronger engine of growth. This includes building the capabilities to gather deeper customer insights that continuously improve our products, as well as creating unique and immersive experiences for entertainment enthusiasts that can be leveraged across our global markets.”

Background in Data Analytics and Technology

Popa’s professional career spans across 16 years of experience in the global technology and entertainment sectors, 10 of which were with Super. He has leveraged his expertise in commercial strategy and data analysis to found Data Talks, a Romanian community of professionals dealing with data analytics and organises one of the country’s biggest annual business intelligence conferences.

Steve’s read · SCCG Intelligence

Internal promotion locks in continuity for Super's most complex dual-channel market while clearing bandwidth for CEE growth.

Romania is Super's deepest retail-plus-online market — four brands, thousands of shops, serious regulatory complexity. Promoting a ten-year veteran signals they're defending a core asset, not just chasing new licenses. We've seen operators stumble when home markets lose focus during expansion.

SCCG angle: We've connected operators across CEE for three decades — when you're scaling into Poland, Serbia, or Greece like Lamentowicz, or defending a complex home market like Popa, SCCG's regulatory, supplier, and on-the-ground partnerships turn strategy into live ops fast.
