G2E 2025 closed its 25th-anniversary edition with scale and substance: nearly 25,000 attendees, 400 exhibitors, and over 100 education sessions that pushed the conversation forward.
Our Footprint: Sharing a Booth with Smartico.ai and Leaning Into AI
This year, we shared a booth with our joint-venture partner Smartico.ai — and that choice said a lot about the moment. AI wasn’t a side topic; it was at the center of nearly every conversation on the floor: using data to personalize offers, automate marketing cycles, and improve player journeys while staying within the guardrails of regulation and responsible play.
Across the conference, exhibitors demonstrated how AI can optimize revenue operations, predictive analytics, and player retention — but just as importantly, how it can remain transparent and accountable to regulators.
We also spent meaningful time with other AI-driven partners: Chata.ai (natural-language analytics), Golden Whale (predictive optimization), Altenar (AI-assisted trading and operations), Shufti (biometric KYC), and many more. The common thread was practical AI — real products solving real operational challenges.
What Really Changed This Year
1. AI Got Practical (and Accountable)
The conversation has matured from “AI can” to “AI does.” Operators and suppliers showcased real use cases: campaign optimization, fraud detection, player-lifecycle modeling, and content performance analytics. The focus has shifted to usefulness, measurable impact, and regulatory readiness.
2. Compliance Took Center Stage — With Clearer Priorities
From cashless payments to digital wallets and sweepstakes reform, compliance dominated the dialogue. Policy updates are no longer background noise — they’re the blueprint for innovation. Collaboration between operators, technology providers, and regulators will determine who scales fastest and safest in 2026.
3. Younger Audiences: Omnichannel or Bust
To reach the 21–40 demographic, operators must blend digital discovery with in-property experiences — loyalty apps, creator tie-ins, and social activations that drive traffic from online feeds to casino floors. This new generation expects frictionless transitions between online engagement and on-site entertainment.
4. The “Experience Era” on the Show Floor
Celebrating its 25th year, G2E leaned heavily into live experiences — dealer competitions, demo zones, and media activations that turned the event into an immersive showcase. Exhibitors discovered that experience is now strategy: storytelling and interaction are what get remembered long after the floor closes.
5. Product Pragmatism: Cabinets, Content, and Design
Manufacturers showcased new cabinets and bonus structures but with a noticeable shift toward function over flash. Operators are demanding data-backed content decisions, balancing innovation with player preference. The sentiment was clear — stock what works and evolve what’s proven.
What We’re Taking Back to the Boardroom
- AI with Receipts: If it can’t be explained, audited, and measured, it won’t scale. The winning AI strategies focus on measurable ROI and regulator-ready controls.
- Omnichannel Loyalty Beats Channel Wars: The future lies in connecting online and on-premise ecosystems — not treating them as competitors.
- Responsible Innovation as the Baseline: Responsible gaming, identity assurance, and AML/KYC are now non-negotiable — a natural evolution where partners like Shufti lead the way.
- Design the Moment, Not Just the Machine: From booth activations to live competitions, the best brands are creating experiences, not just products.
