Errol "E.Poppi" McCalla Jr. Responds to Appointment as Music Director at BooRay! 2

By Errol “E. Poppi” McCalla Jr. 2X Grammy-winner, Founder Playhouse Music and Head of Music Vertical at BooRay!

I am thrilled and inspired to join BooRay! at this transformative moment in the brand’s journey. BooRay! is more than just a brand—it’s a revolution, blending the worlds of music, sports and entertainment, gaming, media, and cultures into something truly groundbreaking.

As a 2X Grammy-winner, former Board Member & Vice President of The Recording Academy (Grammy Association – Texas Chapter) and the founder of Playhouse Music Inc., I’ve had the privilege of producing chart-topping tracks and collaborating with top artists and filmmakers.

When Beyoncé and I co-wrote and co-produced Dangerously In Love, I think we knew we had made a hit; I just don’t think either of us knew that it would be remixed, Dangerously In Love 2, as well as a namesake tour, The Dangerously In Love Tour, plus garner #3 on Rolling Stones Top 25 of The 100 Greatest R & B Songs of the 21st Century.

I had the opportunity to test my chart-topping writing and producing skills again with Destiny’s Child with 8 Days of Christmas, the title track and the title of their only Christmas album; which went on to earn Billboard Top 100 status and one of the most successful Christmas songs and titled Christmas albums to date.

With multiple movie scorings and soundtracks from Charlie’s Angels (Directed by Joseph “McG” Nichol and Starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, Bill Murray, Sam Rockwell, Tim Curry, Kelly Lynch) to Love Don’t Cost A Thing (Directed by Troy Beyer and Starring Nick Cannon, Christina Millian, Steve Harvey, Kenan Thompson, Kal Penn), I’m overly optimistic and up to the challenge of delivering a signature sound that embodies the BooRay! DNA that lives and breathes inside and outside of the walls of arenas, stadiums, fields and casinos globally.

From Destiny’s Child to Beyoncé to Missy Elliott, my passion has always been about creating sounds that resonate and elevate cultural movements, so when Kahari “The BooRay! King” told me about BooRay! and asked me to produce the 1st BooRay! song, I embraced the idea and delivered a timeless production that married the BooRay! culture with the right lyrics and sound from Hip Hop Artist Koder Brown. The BooRay! Luxury Lifestyle Brand shares my mission of a bold vision to unite diverse forms of expression across sports, gaming, fashion, and media. Together, we will push the boundaries of what music can do within a brand, bringing fresh sounds and innovative collaborations that speak directly to the heart of the audience.

Throughout my career, my goal has been to drive global influence and authenticity in every project I touch. BooRay! embodies this same ethos, prioritizing creativity, storytelling, and an unapologetic commitment to trendsetting. I look forward to contributing my expertise and talent, as we redefine the future of music and media, creating unforgettable soundtracks that will elevate BooRay!’s cultural influence and engage fans in new and exciting ways.

Together, we are not just making music; we’re building an ecosystem where every beat tells a story and every sound represents a movement. It’s an honor to bring my musical vision to BooRay! and I can’t wait for what’s to come. Let’s go Team BooRay!

Kahari “The BooRay! King” Nash said, “I have known and worked with E-Poppi for over two decades and I knew he was the right Music Industry Veteran to lead the BooRay! Music Vertical and I’m elated to have him officially join Team BooRay! It’s definitely going to be a signature sound on a marathon, journey of Multi-Platinum, Top-Charting and Grammy-winning fan-building experiences.”
