By Kahari S. Nash, The BooRay! King
When Jake Paul squared off against Mike Tyson in one of the most innovative and highly anticipated boxing events of the decade, the stage was set for more than just a clash of fists—it became a showcase for new media, streaming trends, and the fusion of lifestyle brands old and new. Streaming live on Netflix, the event not only drew over sixty-five (65) million viewers with a live gate of almost 80,000 at AT&T Stadium; it also created a cultural moment that seamlessly blended sports, entertainment, and lifestyle branding. For BooRay!, this night was nothing short of monumental.
Representing BooRay! at this event as The BooRay! King was a surreal experience. Our presence wasn’t just about introducing people to a card game; it was about introducing them to a lifestyle brand and its face, The BooRay! King. Athletes, Pop Culture Icons, and Tastemakers who love BooRay! showed up in force, helping us push the boundaries of what a gaming and lifestyle brand can be. Here’s a glimpse into the excitement and opportunities this night created.
Breaking Through the Noise
From arriving at The Loews Arlington to picking up my credential from Craig “Boogie” Jones – Longtime Friend of Mike Tyson, who escorted The BooRay! King into AT&T Stadium and then making my way through the venue to the event floor, BooRay! became a talking point among legends of sports and entertainment. From NBA Champion Meta World Peace (Ron Artest) to Comedian / Actor Mike Epps, World Middleweight Champion – Co-Host All The Smoke Boxing Andre Ward, and even the Iconic Jerry Jones Owner Dallas Cowboys, conversations flowed around the card game itself and the lifestyle it represents. This further solidified to me how naturally BooRay! fits into these intersections—sports, entertainment, and culture.
The ability to connect with such a diverse group is a testament to BooRay!’s growing status not just as a card game but as a movement. These legends weren’t just intrigued by BooRay!—they were excited to see where it could go.
Strategic Partnerships and Exciting Next Steps
The night was more than an introduction—it was a launchpad for new opportunities. Here are a few key follow-ups I’m excited to tackle this week:
- Matt Barnes x All The Smoke “ATS” Podcast on DraftKings Network x BooRay!
BooRay! is a cultural movement, and what better network than DraftKings and podcast to amplify our story on than All The Smoke “ATS”? I’ll be sitting down with Matt Barnes & Stephen Jackson – Hosts ATS and Team BooRay!— Kendrick “Big Perk” Perkins, Mario “Big Shot Rio” Chalmers, William “Big Will” Platt Sr. – Owner THE BANK 🏦 ATL – LIT Energy Drink and Stephen A. Crystal Founder & CEO SCCG—to bring the BooRay! experience to ATS’s DraftKings Network audience. It’s about more than gaming; it’s about the conversations that connect people. - Kyle Stein x Flecha Azul Tequila x BooRitas!
Kyle Stein, President of WES Brands and co-owner of Flecha Azul Tequila with Mark Wahlberg, is keen on blending BooRay! with premium lifestyle experiences. We’re exploring the creation of Top Shelf RTDs “BooRitas!“, a cocktail collaboration that combines the excitement of BooRay! with the quintessential flavor of Flecha Azul Tequila. This collaboration has the potential to bring BooRita! Cocktails to 5-Star On-Premise (i.e. Hotels, Restaurants, Casinos, Night Clubs, Lounges, Sports Bars, etc.) accounts and BooRita! RTDs to Off-Premise (i.e. Spec’s, Walmart, etc.) accounts distributed by Southern Glazer across the country and worldwide. - Stephen Espinoza x Netflix x Mound Bayou “The Most Remarkable Town in the South” DocuSeries
Blessed to have Stephen Espinoza, former President of Showtime Sports and now an Executive Management Consultant to Netflix, as a conduit to open doors at Netflix Documentaries. We’re discussing the Mound Bayou DocuSeries, which already has Ted Field Chairman Radar Pictures – Co-Founder Interscope Records and Tony “Tycoon” Brown as Executive Producers along with myself, that not only connects me to my roots; it also showcases the depth of BooRay!’s story as “The 1st Black-Owned Casino Table Game”. This project is about more than just entertainment; it’s about historical, cultural preservation and storytelling.
Building a Lifestyle Legacy
BooRay! is more than a card game—it’s a brand that embodies connection, competition, and culture. This event showed us the limitless possibilities of what we can achieve by aligning with the right platforms and people. With legends like Mike Tyson and Jake Paul paving the way for new forms of entertainment, BooRay! has found itself at the forefront of innovation in gaming and lifestyle branding.
The energy of the night, the excitement of the people I met, and the opportunities ahead all point to one thing: BooRay! is just getting started. And if this event is any indication, our story will continue to grow in the hearts of BooRay! players and increase the BooRay! Community to billions of fans around the world.
