Esports and Betting

As of last week, OpTic Gaming has signed a letter of intent to pursue a partnership with NextGen Wagering. The team at NextGen Wagering consists of former executives from EBET, Bart Barden and Jason Finch, and RedZone Digital. NextGen Wagering is looking to develop a Sportsbook product and is in the investment stages. Source- Esports Insider

This isn’t the first time that former EBET employees ventured into the world of teams & betting. Clinton Sparks, former Strategic Advisor for EBET, is Co-Founder of XSET. XSET is a Tier 1 Esports team that hones in on the gaming culture, lifestyle, inclusion, diversity, equity and esports.

When the Esports audience thinks of gambling, it is primarily associated with Stake.com and their heavy investment in Twitch Creators. 100 Thieves is one of the first NA Esports teams to work in the betting space, fostering a campaign with Moe (Yassuo) and Stake.

OpTic Gaming and XSET have both taken the initiatives to get started in the betting industry. Both teams have worked with PrizePicks, a Daily Fantasy Sports operator in the United States & Canada. Last month, OpTic Gaming secured a direct sponsorship with PrizePicks, and Tee Grizzley from XSET is working with the DFS brand.

The recent drop in valuation for Esports is a great way forward in building a more sustainable Esports Ecosystem that drives revenue. Non-endemic brands such as iGaming, have the opportunity of creating spectacular collaborations or massive reach campaigns that rival Super Bowl Ads for a fraction of the cost!

For Tee Grizzley and the 4 months he’s been working with PrizePicks, he’s driven:

* Over 8 million video views promoting PrizePicks

* Averaging over 10K viewers per Twitch stream when making a card for PrizePicks — with audience interaction helping him make his picks!

Always open to Esports discussions!
