USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams is the Overwhelming favorite to be the top quarterback taken in the 2024 NFL Draft. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, he has the best odds to be taken at -500 odds. Williams is a generational talent and there will be a lot of teams that are going to tank for him.
Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. From Ohio State and Quarterback Drake Maye from North Carolina, are also going to be highly valued in the 2024 NFL Draft but it will be interesting to see what happens. At the current moment, the Chicago Bears own the top two picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.
It would feel like a surprise if they didn’t get the top pick overall for the second consecutive season. They also own the Carolina Panthers selection, who is also 0-4 this season. One of the teams to watch for potentially in the Caleb Williams sweepstakes is the New York Giants.
They are 1-3 on the season. If New York goes to 1-5 over the next two weeks, it could get interesting. General manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll will want to mold there own quarterback and move on from Daniel Jones.
Yes he did sign a four-year $160 million deal this offseason but they can either trade him to another team or get out of his contract after the second year. Jones has regressed from a season ago. He may not even throw 15 touchdowns this season. Daniel Jones only has two touchdowns and six interceptions. He surpassed his total of five interceptions last season.
The New York Giants won’t want inept quarterback play despite a horrendous offensive line, who can very well set a record this season for sacks. Jones doesn’t read the field well. Caleb Williams or even Drake Maye would be a massive upgrade over Daniel Jones. Chicago feels like it is there franchise quarterback to lose at this point, but New York fans would be super duper happy if it happened.
