For four days at Fiera Roma it shares the venue with AIBC, FX World and AGS, putting gaming, frontier technology, financial markets and affiliate marketing under one roof. The organisers expect around 30,000 delegates and more than 1,200 exhibitors.

Why Rome matters

SiGMA World is the last major event on our 2026 calendar. For many of the people we work with, it is where next year’s plans are set. Markets get chosen, partners get shortlisted, budgets get committed. Rome is also the place to talk about the market we think deserves the industry’s attention most right now: Venezuela.

• Demand that already exists. 29 million people and around 6 million active wagerers. Roughly 46% of Venezuelan adults already wager, depositing close to $2.1 billion a year through domestic channels.
• A market set to grow three- to four-fold. SCCG Research puts gross gaming revenue at $165–250 million today and $500–700 million within five years, as international technology, content and capital enter through domestic operator partnerships. Mexico is the live template for what formalisation produces.
• Why now. The barriers that kept the international industry out — sanctions, political instability and banking isolation — came down in 2026, and the state banking system opened to international financial services. It is the first real opening in over a decade, and the window will not stay empty for long.
