SCCG Expands Collection of Choctaw Master Artist DG Smalling with New Barry Switzer Portraits

SCCG Management is proud to announce the latest addition to its office art collection, featuring two remarkable portraits by Choctaw Nation Master Artist, DG Smalling. These artworks depict the legendary coach Barry Switzer and are particularly noteworthy as they represent the first and only artistic collaboration Switzer has participated in.

DG Smalling, renowned for his unique one-line, continuous drawing technique, expressed his pride and honor in creating these portraits for SCCG Management. He stated, “I am so very proud that the home of these two portraits of the great Coach Barry Switzer is SCCG Management. They are the first and only artistic collaboration he has made, and to have been part of their realization has been a highlight of my career.”

This addition is a significant moment for both Smalling and SCCG Management. “This represents an ongoing collection of my work by Stephen Allen Crystal, and his friendship has been quite meaningful to me,” Smalling added. “I hope that you will make a point of visiting SCCG Management and take a peek at these artworks.”

DG Smalling, a distinguished artist from the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, is celebrated for his distinctive drawing style, where his pen never leaves the paper until the image is complete. His partnership with SCCG Management highlights the company’s deep respect and admiration for tribal art and culture.

Coach Barry Switzer, a native of Arkansas, is a towering figure in the world of football. He is one of the few coaches to have won both a collegiate national championship and the Super Bowl, marking him as one of the most successful football coaches of all time.

SCCG Management’s collaboration with DG Smalling not only enriches its office environment but also underscores its commitment to supporting and showcasing indigenous art and talent. The portraits of Barry Switzer are a testament to the mutual respect between SCCG Management and DG Smalling, and they invite all who visit to appreciate the artistry and legacy they represent.
