It’s a huge day in the SPFL Premiership title race as Celtic look to knock Heart of Midlothian off the summit with a win at Parkhead.
The Hoops were trailing the leaders by eight points when Martin O’Neill was drafted in as interim boss in the wake of Brendan Rodgers’ shock departure.
But as Wilfried Nancy prepares for his dugout debut at Celtic Park, only goal difference is keeping the Jambos in front and they’ve also played a game more than the champions.
So the stage is set for a titanic tussle this afternoon as the former Columbus Crew manager is thrown in at the deep end.
Celtic vs Heart of Midlothian top betting tips
Hearts head into this game in poor form, having won just once in their last six matches to squander that big lead.
But they’ve still lost just once in the Premiership all season, a 1-0 defeat in Aberdeen where they were arguably the better team, so the Jambos could be worth a punt in the double chance at 11/8 with Betfred.
Celtic are still nowhere near the levels they reached last season and had to grind out a 1-0 home win over struggling Dundee in midweek.
Daizen Maeda grabbed the winner that night and is looking far more comfortable since being moved from the right wing back to centre forward.
The Japanese striker is 8/5 with William Hill for anytime scorer and that looks a bit generous given he has scored in his last two games.
Brighton and Hove Albion vs West Ham United
West Ham United remain stuck in the Premier League‘s drop zone and have a tough assignment today as they head south to Brighton.
The Hammers claimed a battling point at Old Trafford on Thursday and have definitely become harder to beat since Nuno Espirito Santo took the reins.
But they now face a Seagulls side who had been unbeaten at home all season before losing a seven-goal thriller to Aston Villa on Wednesday.
Brighton’s last five home games have hit double figures for corners so that’s a market worth exploring. Over 10.5 corners pays 31/20 at Skybet while West Ham could be worth a punt at +3 in the handicap, which pays 19/20 with William Hill.
Brajan Gruda has caught my eye in recent games for Brighton and the midfielder is 8/5 with BetMGM to score or assist today.
Fulham vs Crystal Palace
Fulham’s epic comeback came up just short against Manchester City on Wednesday and it will be interesting to see how they react in today’s London derby with Crystal Palace.
Having trailed 5-1 to Manchester City, Craven Cottage was rocking when Marco Silva’s side pulled three goals back and only a goal-line clearance stopped them from claiming an unlikely point at the death.
Fulham’s attack ripped through Pep Guardiola’s defence but they now take on a Palace side who have kept clean sheets in three of their last four Premier League games.
Another seven-goal thriller is unlikely and I’m going to bet against BTTS at evens with BOYLE Sports, with that bet landing in four of the last five meetings.
Palace have a stronger side than Fulham but the Cottagers have home advantage so I’m expecting a close game. The half-time draw looks like a good option and it pays 6/5 at BetMGM.
