Monday's football tips: Slovak scrapper Lobotka 5/2 for over 1.5 fouls against Germany

Germany will be out for revenge tonight as they bid to see off Slovakia and book their place at next summer’s World Cup.

The Germans got their Group A campaign off to a terrible start with a loss in Bratislava but have since reeled off four successive wins.

They lead the Slovaks by goal difference going into the group decider so a draw would be enough to seal the deal but Julian Nagelsmann will want his side to finish the job in style.

Germany vs Slovakia top betting tips

Slovakia kept their hopes of automatic qualification alive with a 1-0 win over Northern Ireland that guaranteed a play-off place at worst.

But I wasn’t hugely impressed with them against the Irish and they needed a stoppage-time winner from Tomas Bobcek to get over the line.

Germany haven’t been great so far in the group but still look worthy 2/9 favourites for a win on home soil tonight.

The Slovaks have only conceded twice in five qualifiers so I’m going to comnbine a German win with under 3.5 goals at 23/20.

Napoli’s Stanislav Lobotka will be at the heart of the midfield battle and I like the 5/2 on offer at Bet365 for him to commit over 1.5 fouls.

Netherlands vs Lithuania

The Netherlands have one foot in the World Cup finals and only need a point at home to Lithuania tonight to guarantee top spot in Group G.

The Dutch had a nervy night in Warsaw on Friday and needed a Memphis Depay leveller to secure a 1-1 draw with Poland.

That has kept them three points clear of the Poles and it’s hard to see them slipping up back on home soil against a Lithuania side with nothing to play for.

It was a 3-2 thriller when these sides faced off earlier in the group but I’m expecting a more routine night for the Netherlands.

Combining a Dutch win to nil and between 1-4 match goals pays evens in a Bet365 bet builder and that looks pretty good value.

Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo is just 4/7 for a goal but the odds are better at 5/4 for an assist.

Northern Ireland vs Luxembourg

Northern Ireland will still be reeling from that stoppage-time Slovakia winner on Friday but it was a bittersweet night as results elsewhere secured their play-off place.

Tonight’s clash with Luxembourg in Belfast is now a dead rubber but Michael O’Neill will still want to build some momentum with a win.

The Irish kicked off their campaign with a 3-1 triumph in Luxembourg so they look worthy 2/5 favourites with BOYLE Sports.

Luxembourg limited the Germans to a 2-0 win on Friday and could be a tough nut to crack. That makes a Northern Ireland win with under 3.5 goals a good shout tonight at evens.

Isaac Price has been O”Neill’s go-to guy for goals in the last couple of years and he’s 13/8 for anytime scorer.
