While Zurich will have been disappointed to drop points on Saturday, they are now unbeaten in five matches.
Moreover, both teams have scored in five of the hosts’ previous six Swiss Super League fixtures.
Now they face a Lugano side fresh from a thrilling 4-2 win over Servette on Sunday.
That result means both teams have netted in 10 of the visitors’ 17 league games this season, and all the signs point towards a repeat at the Stadion Letzigrund.
Luzern vs Basel (Wednesday, 19:30)
Luzern will be looking to snap a three-game winless run in the Swiss Super League when they host Basel on Wednesday night.
Mario Frick has seen his team’s form take a major nosedive in recent weeks, with his side sliding down to 10th place in the table as result.
Despite Luzern’s struggles, they have continued to find the back of the net with some regularity, particularly at home.
That is evidenced by the fact that both teams have scored in seven of the Lucerne-based club’s eight league home games this season.
As for the visitors, they will be looking to get their title bid back on track after being held to a draw by Lausanne last time out.
Six of Basel’s nine Swiss Super League away matches this season have seen both teams get on the scoresheet, and both to oblige again is the selection at the Swissporarena.
