13.15 Weatherbys & Birdie Calendars Maiden Hurdle
CINQUENTA has placed on all three outings to date and makes his seasonal/hurdles debut with his team in excellent order. The form of his debut third has worked out really well, with the first and second winning in this sphere since. I can see him emerging as the biggest danger to the favourite.
Tips: CINQUENTA

The Tizzard’s are absolutely flying at present so it might be worth sticking with DIAMOND DAYS, who looks well treated. The five-year-old remains a maiden, but has placed on two of his last three starts and is open to improvement on his chase debut. Freddie Gingell takes the ride.

Plenty of interesting runners in this event. The one I’m drawn to is ZAMEK. He showed plenty of ability on his sole start for Paul Nicholls and has since joined Olly Murphy. It will be fascinating to see what the market makes of his chances. Of the others, debutante COOLKATIE makes appeal on paper for the Skelton brothers.
Tips: ZAMEK & COOLKATIE

I really like the look of RISK DE PLUIE, who placed on all three starts last winter and his penultimate second at Exeter looks good form having finished in front of subsequent winner Royal Jewel and just behind Donnacha, who has also won again since to advertise the strength of the form. With more to come off this mark of 116, Ben Clarke’s charge is well worth consideration.
Tips: RISK DE PLUIE

Three last-time-out winners collide, with the marginal vote going to SCORPIO RISING. He confirmed the promise of his hurdles debut third when easily getting off the mark at Perth and now goes handicapping off a very attractive figure of 113. His assured fitness could see him get the better of the returning Ski Lodge and co.

NO NO FIZZ was well beaten on her seasonal/chase debut at Fakenham, but with that run under her belt and being eased in grade, surely better is to come. This is a very weak contest, so she’s given a chance to go well. The unreliable but capable GLAJOU has become very well handicapped and could exceed his current odds.
Tips: NO NO FIZZ & GLAJOU
