West Ham vs Manchester United, Tuesday (20:15)

Two of the Premier League’s in-form sides will lock horns at the London Stadium on Tuesday night as West Ham meet Manchester United.

The Hammers have breathed some much-needed life into their bid to beat the drop by winning three of their last four top-flight fixtures, the most recent of which was a 2-0 win away at Burnley.

As for Manchester United, they maintained their 100% record under interim manager Michael Carrick by claiming a 2-0 win over Tottenham last time out.

Bryan Mbeumo 2+ Shots

For the first leg of what will be a Bet Builder double, I’m going to back Bryan Mbeumo to attempt two or more shots. Mbeumo is proving to be one of the best bits of transfer business that Manchester United have done in recent years, with the Cameroonian forward netting his ninth Premier League goal of the season against Tottenham at the weekend.

As was the case last season during his time at Brentford, Mbeumo’s shot output has been particularly high this term. In fact, the Red Devils forward has averaged 2.67 shots per game in the Premier League this season.

Drill a little deeper into the data and it can be seen that Mbeumo has registered two or more efforts in 16 of his 20 top-flight outings this season, a sample that includes the reverse fixture with West Ham earlier in the campaign.

While the Hammers have looked a lot better of late, they remain one of the most leaky sides in the division, not to mention they are conceding an average of 15.12 shots per game in the Premier League this season. This further strengthens the case for Mbeumo to rack up a couple of attempts at the London Stadium on Tuesday night.

Diogo Dalot to Commit 1+ Foul

I’m going to pair that selection up with Diogo Dalot to commit at least one foul during this capital clash. The Manchester United right-back has long had a reputation for picking up fouls, and this season has been no different. The Portugal international is committing an average of 0.82 fouls per game in the Premier League this season, however, that figure has been on the rise in recent weeks. In fact, Dalot has committed an average of one foul per game across the four Premier League matches in which Michael Carrick has been in temporary charge, giving away two free-kicks against Tottenham at Old Trafford on Saturday.

With the Red Devils defender likely to be in direct battle with Crysencio Summerville on Tuesday night, there is plenty of scope for that foul trend to continue. The in-form West Ham winger has proven to be something of a foul magnet this season, underlined by the fact that he is drawing an average of 2.40 fouls per game in the Premier League this term, earning his team a minimum of 1 free kick in each of his last 6 outings.

Combined, the above-mentioned player-based double will bring about a 4/5 shot on bet365, which looks like solid value.

  • Diogo Dalot to Commit 1+ Foul
  • Bet Builder – 4/5 (bet365)
