Go Ahead Eagles vs Heerenveen (Wednesday, 17:45)

Two teams struggling for form in the Eredivisie will square off on Wednesday evening as Go Ahead Eagles entertain Heerenveen.

The hosts’ winless run in the top-flight stretched to 13 games at the weekend when playing out a 1-1 draw with Telstar.

As for the visitors, they currently find themselves in the midst of a four-match winless streak after being trounced 5-0 away at Twente last time out.

While neither team is in fine fettle, the pair have been involved in plenty of entertaining encounters this season.

That’s certainly been the case as far as Go Ahead Eagles are concerned, with 15 of their 21 Eredivisie matches seeing each team get on the scoresheet.

The fact that Heerenveen aren’t too far behind – 14 of their 21 matches have seen a BTTS winner – suggests goals at both ends are likely in Deventer.

Lugano vs Servette (Wednesday, 19:30)

Lugano will be looking to remain hot on the heels of Swiss Super League leaders Thun by seeing off Servette on Wednesday night.

Mattia Croci-Torti’s men have strung together a nine-game unbeaten run to move within 3 points of the summit.

However, the hosts have drawn each of their last two matches 1-1, and that brings both teams to score into the equation at the Cornaredo Stadium on Wednesday night.

Moreover, BTTS has landed in eight of the Black and White’s 11 league games at home this season.

Now set to come up against a Servette side that is among the BTTS kings in the Swiss Super League this season, all the signs point towards each team getting in on the act.

Both teams to score backers would have pocketed profit from a sizeable 17 of the visitors’ 23 Swiss top-flight fixtures this term.

NEC Nijmegen vs Utrecht (Wednesday, 20:00)

NEC Nijmegen will be targeting a fifth win in succession in the Eredivisie when they face Utrecht on Wednesday night.

The host’s four-game winning run has catapulted them into third place in the table, leapfrogging Ajax in the process.

Despite NEC’s impressive form, they remain shaky at the back – something that was evident during Saturday’s 4-1 win over Heracles.

In fact, that was the 17th time across NEC Nijmegen’s 21 top-flight fixtures this season that both teams have hit the back of the net.

With Utrecht up next this midweek, there is plenty of scope for that trend to continue.

Both teams to score would have been the correct call in 8 of the visitors’ 10 Eredivisie matches away from home this season.
