Canada Soccer has renewed its contentious sponsorship and broadcast agreement with Canadian Soccer Business (CSB) on improved terms right before the upcoming World Cup. The new 11-year deal, effective until 2037, includes an option to extend for an additional five years. This decision follows the issues that plagued the original 10-year contract, resulting in player strikes and a $40 million lawsuit filed by the Canadian Soccer Players Association against Canada Soccer board members.
