Premier League Darts: Night Two tips

Premier League Darts: Night Two tips

The second week of the 2026 Premier League Darts takes place on Thursday night as the eight players make the journey to the AFAS Dome in Antwerp.

After Luke Littler was dumped out at the quarter-final stage in Newcastle, Michael van Gerwen took full advantage to claim victory on Week One. However, with this year’s competition still in its infancy, each player will be confident of moving themselves into the mix for the playoffs.

Luke Littler vs. Luke Humphries

The world’s top two players made the decision to skip the Players Championship events in Hildesheim to focus on this event, and the extra rest and preparation should guarantee a high-scoring contest.

Humphries gave a better account of himself last week in reaching the semi-finals, but Littler has prevailed in their last four contests on the stage, albeit the most recent showdown at the Masters on February 1 only being won by a 6-5 scoreline in sets.

While there is no value in selecting a Littler win at close to 1/2, the 19-year-old emerging victorious by 6-3 (5/1) or 6-4 (27/5) should appeal, as should total legs of over 9.5 at 11/10.

MFT Tip: Total legs over 9.5 (11/10)

Michael van Gerwen vs. Josh Rock

When his opponents were struggling for consistency last week, Van Gerwen posted averages between 97.81 and 100.58, ultimately only conceding eight legs across his three matches.

Providing that the Dutchman recovers well from a Players Championship double-header, we expect more of the same here, but Rock will be well-rested having chosen to miss those tournaments.

Having ran into an inspired Jonny Clayton, Rock’s confidence should not be negatively-impacted from losing 6-2 to the Welshman with a 101.83 average. Nevertheless, we cannot turn down MVG at a price in the region of 5/6 to come through this contest.

If you are feeling ambitious, betting odds of 6/1 are available for each of 6-4 and 6-5 for a Van Gerwen win.

MFT Tip: Van Gerwen to win (5/6)

Jonny Clayton vs. Stephen Bunting

Like Rock, Bunting still averaged high (97.59) in a 6-2 defeat to Van Gerwen last week, but the six legs were lost in a row.

As for Clayton, he showcased his capabilities in cruising past Rock, and Bunting may need to make a fast start here to discourage the Welshman.

Clayton to win at 4/6 and Clayton most 180s at 5/4 are both strong bets. Combining the two should be considered, but if you want to err on the side of caution, opt for Clayton to prevail.

MFT Tip: Clayton to win (4/6)

Gerwyn Price vs. Gian van Veen

With both players having chosen to play on the Pro Tour this week, fatigue could come into play, but that should not take away from this contest being decided by small moments.

Despite beating Littler and his run to the final in Newcastle, Van Veen was far from his best, and that continued in Players Championship 1.

As Price is above Evens for this contest, there is far better value in backing the Welshman. A 6-3, 6-4 or 6-5 Price win can also be placed at betting odds of at least 6/1 in all three cases, and that will appeal to punters.

MFT Tip: Price to win 11/10)

Value bets for Premier League Darts Week Two

A Van Gerwen, Clayton and Price treble works out at approximately 11/2. While you could add Littler into the mix for better odds, it may make more sense to leave the world champion out of the equation when he is facing Humphries.

If you are keeping an eye on the outright winner odds, Littler has been widened to 4/6 to lift the trophy. Unless he loses his opening match on the next couple of nights, those odds are not going to improve to the extent where it is worth waiting to back him.
