This is a good opportunity for SOBER GLORY to get back to winning ways after running below form at Sandown last time out. It was clear something was amiss as he was only fourth in the Listed event after being sent off as the odds-on favourite. Unbeaten in four prior to that showing though, this C&D winner can make amends.
Tips: SOBER GLORY

FIRE WARNING was a winner on the Flat in France before finding one too good on hurdles debut and has joined a powerful yard that does well with similar types. Sporting the Ricci silks, any market support should be a good indication as to what to expect from this intriguing runner.

MATIWO suffered a tumble at Cheltenham last time out, but provided he’s none the worse, I’m expecting him to give the favourite plenty to think about. This youngster shaped well when third on debut at Chepstow and should be firmly in the mix. FEEL GUT finished second on debut in France and could be anything, so the winner should come from one of these two.
Tips: MATIWO & FEEL GUT
14.05 DJB Cleaning Handicap Chase
MUSKOKA finished a close-up third here last March and comes into this race in decent nick after finishing second the last two times. He’s likely to be thereabouts, but SHELDON is well treated on the pick of his form and could outrun his odds. GOLD IN THE RIVERS has undergone wind surgery since taking third at Lingfield when last seen and is another to note.
Tips: MUSKOKA, SHELDON & GOLD IN THE RIVERS
14.40 Wendigo Wins The Brown Advisory Handicap Hurdle
ON THE GO has been hit with a 10lb rise for his facile success at Hereford, but he might be able to overcome it given how impressive he was and is in this race off a low weight. He can run well, as can FADED FANTASY and C’EST DIFFERENT, who is in search of the four-timer following his hat trick of wins completed at Market Rasen.
Tips: ON THE GO, FADED FANTASY & C’EST DIFFERENT
15.15 Alder Demain & Akers Mares’ Chase (Listed)
A clear sound should see PANIC ATTACK have too much for this field. She was a fantastic winner of the Coral Gold Cup at this course last time out and is clear of these on ratings. She is the rightful heavy favourite. Just in case the unexpected occurs though, ILOVETHENIGHTLIFE is included as cover.
Tips: PANIC ATTACK & ILOVETHENIGHTLIFE
