Fanatics Betting and Gaming has officially partnered with Claymore Solutions to establish a significant presence in the Philippines as a key location for regulated international gaming support. The partnership was celebrated at a ribbon-cutting event in Taguig City, showcasing new Fanatics offices.
This move highlights Fanatics’ strategic growth beyond the U.S., leveraging the Philippines’ reputation for business process outsourcing (BPO) and skilled talent. Claymore Solutions, acknowledged by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) as a Special Class BPO, will provide back-office services for internationally licensed gaming firms, avoiding betting operations or direct handling of gaming funds.
At the event, Claymore Chairman and co-founder Paul Fox emphasized the employment opportunities this venture offers, aiming to provide high-quality jobs to Filipinos. He expressed gratitude to President Marcos and PAGCOR Chairman Al Tengco for their support in making the Philippines a reliable hub for global gaming support.
Claymore’s offerings include comprehensive human resources, payroll management, recruitment support, and fully serviced office spaces. Clients can opt for Claymore’s recruitment team or utilize their own hiring operations.
Fanatics CTO Ian Botts expressed excitement about accessing world-class talent to support their operations, while CFO Andrea Ellis highlighted the significance of the partnership symbolized by the new office space.
This partnership comes at a time of change in the Philippines’ gaming employment scene, following the government’s halt of the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) licensing regime, leading to job losses for over 40,000 Filipino workers. Claymore seeks to fill this gap by providing stable, long-term jobs through partnerships with renowned gaming brands like Fanatics.
PAGCOR Chairman Alejandro Tengco hailed this development as the start of a transformative chapter in the Philippine BPO sector, with Special Class BPOs like Claymore at the forefront.
Founded in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming has expanded rapidly across the U.S. Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the U.S. online sports betting market, and Fanatics Casino operates in several states, with 22 retail sportsbook locations, including a unique location inside an NFL stadium.
This initiative in the Philippines highlights a strategic shift to bolster Fanatics’ global operations through offshore support. While maintaining robust domestic growth, Fanatics’ infrastructure expansion in Asia suggests a broader long-term vision.
Claymore Solutions, established in 2023 by Paul Fox and Nathan Kinsella, now counts Fanatics as its first major client, with further client partnerships anticipated to enhance its role in gaming support services.
