OTAs are happening across the NFL, with mandatory minicamps following in June’s second week. Rookies are making strong impressions, leading to enthusiastic reports. It’s challenging to separate hype from reality, but sportsbooks haven’t adjusted serious candidates’ odds for offensive or defensive rookie of the year.

In NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds, Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty is a solid +250 favorite, ahead of Tennessee’s future QB Cam Ward at +350. The Arizona product’s development is accelerated this offseason. He’s central to the passing game, which is logical due to limited competition. He led the FBS in receiving yards and big plays, excelling in catches and touchdowns over his last two seasons. His route running and contested catch skills are impressive, with ample opportunity anticipated. Carolina’s receptions were limited last season, suggesting McMillan will dominate targets and aid Bryce Young’s progress. Young’s late-season performance gives hope for Carolina’s success and McMillan’s OROY potential.
**Dart’s Stock Could Rise Quickly**
Another prospect to watch is Jaxson Dart. The Giants’ second first-round pick may initially be behind Russell Wilson, but roles could reverse.
