Arteta Urges Resilience: Confident of Progress Despite Paris 2025 Setback – SCCG Management

After a difficult end to their Champions League campaign and seeing their Premier League title hopes fade, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta remains focused and determined. Despite the recent setbacks, Arteta insists his desire to push the team forward has never been stronger.

“There’s no time to feel sorry for ourselves,” he said when asked whether the emotional toll of the recent weeks had caught up with him. “Probably because there’s still so much to accomplish. We need to improve, keep growing, and continue chasing our goals. That’s what motivates me every single day.”

Arteta acknowledged the high standards he’s set both for himself and the team. “If anyone has raised the expectations here, it’s been me,” he said. “I expect a lot — first from myself and then from everyone around me. That’s the only way to move forward — by constantly asking for more.”

Despite the disappointment of falling short, Arteta believes Arsenal are on the verge of something special. “We’re very, very close,” he said. “I understand the frustration and the criticism — it comes with the territory. But in football, there can only be one winner. The rest of us need to learn, adapt, and come back stronger. That’s part of the journey.”
