Premier League Top Five Race Heats Up: Expert Football Pools Betting Tips by SCCG Management

As the EFL transitions into the playoff stage, all eyes now turn to the Premier League for the remainder of the football pools season.

With just three weekends of Premier League action left, the title race and relegation battle have already been decided. The spotlight now shifts to the crucial race for the top five and qualification for next season’s Champions League.

As always, the goal this weekend is to rack up points using the following football pools scoring system:

– Score draw: 3 points
– 0-0 draw: 2 points
– Home or away win: 1 point

Expert Football Pools Predictions

Ipswich vs Brentford (Premier League)

Ipswich may be facing a return to the Championship, but their Premier League campaign is ending much like it started — with a number of hard-fought draws. Two of their last four games ended as score draws, and with only one home win all season, a draw with Brentford seems highly likely.

Brentford haven’t been consistent in drawing matches this season, but they’ve started to settle for a point more often in recent weeks, including two draws in their last five outings.

Bournemouth vs Aston Villa (Premier League)

The Saturday evening fixture sees Aston Villa visiting Bournemouth in a must-win match as they aim to secure back-to-back Champions League qualifications. Villa’s task won’t be easy, though, against a Bournemouth side that’s been tricky to beat.

Bournemouth have drawn four of their last eight Premier League games, and tend to perform well against top-tier teams. In fact, two of the past three clashes between these sides have finished level.

Tottenham vs Crystal Palace (Premier League)

Tottenham host Crystal Palace in a Sunday London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs head into this one riding high after their Europa League semi-final triumph on Thursday, but historically they struggle to maintain form in the league immediately following European games.

Palace, meanwhile, have proven stubborn to break down, recording draws in each of their last three matches – making another stalemate a strong possibility here.

Manchester United vs West Ham (Premier League)

Manchester United also tasted success in the Europa League semi-finals this past week. However, as with Spurs, they’ve often faltered when returning to domestic duties post-Europe. Manager Ruben Amorim has made it clear the focus is now on avoiding injuries ahead of the final.

United could be in luck, though, as West Ham are enduring a poor run of form and haven’t managed a win in their last five matches. However, three of those ended in draws – matching United’s two draws across the same span.

Liverpool vs Arsenal (Premier League)

The final Premier League match this weekend sees Liverpool host Arsenal. Earlier in the season, this clash looked like it could decide the title. But Arsenal’s stuttering form in March and April handed Liverpool the upper hand, effectively sealing the title early.

Draws have plagued Arsenal’s campaign, with 13 so far — three coming in their last five matches. Liverpool, already champions, may lack urgency, and with Arsenal recovering from Champions League disappointment, this game could fizzle into another draw.
