Expert Football Pools Betting Predictions
Ipswich vs Brentford (Premier League)
Ipswich may be heading back to the Championship, but they’re proving a tough nut to crack in the final phase of their Premier League campaign, having recorded two score draws in their last four outings. With just one home win all season, a draw looks likely against Brentford.
The Bees, while not frequent drawers overall, have seen an uptick in that department recently, registering two draws in their last five matches. A split of the points seems probable.
Bournemouth vs Aston Villa (Premier League)
This Saturday evening encounter pits Bournemouth against an Aston Villa side desperate for a win to keep their Champions League hopes alive. But the Cherries have become a tricky opponent, particularly for the league’s elite.
Bournemouth have drawn four of their last eight league fixtures and tend to perform better against top opposition. Adding to that, two of the last three showdowns between these sides have ended in a draw — expect another close contest.
Tottenham vs Crystal Palace (Premier League)
Sunday’s London derby sees Spurs host Crystal Palace. Tottenham come into this one on a high after Thursday’s Europa League semi-final triumph, but recent history shows they tend to underperform in the league following European matches.
Palace, meanwhile, have proven stubborn recently, drawing each of their last three Premier League games. With Spurs potentially rotating or tiring, a draw could well be on the cards.
Manchester United vs West Ham (Premier League)
Manchester United, fresh from their own Europa League semi-final success, face a similar situation to Tottenham. Manager Ruben Amorim has publicly stated the focus is now on avoiding injuries ahead of the final, suggesting a less intense approach.
West Ham, while struggling to pick up wins, have drawn three of their last five matches. United themselves have drawn two in five. This fixture could easily finish all square.
Liverpool vs Arsenal (Premier League)
The final match of the weekend sees Liverpool take on Arsenal — a game once viewed as a potential title decider. However, Arsenal’s dip in form during March and April handed Liverpool the upper hand in the title race.
Draws have plagued the Gunners in 2024, notching 13 in the league so far — three of those in their last five. Liverpool, with the pressure now off, may not be at full intensity. Following Arsenal’s Champions League exit, this one could drift into a low-key draw.
