Premier League top 4 odds and prediction: Aston Villa a tempting choice at 11/1 odds

Current Premier League top 4 odds provide an indication of where teams are expected to end up come the end of the season.

Will the league table look much as it does now or will we see some big changes at the top end of the Premier League table after the final few rounds? Here’s our take on the current situation.

Best Premier League top 4 odds

With Liverpool clinching the title, they are the only team that’s secured a top-four finish in the league, which is a bit surprising this late in the season.

That being said, the first two teams in our list, Arsenal and Manchester City, offer little value for betting, but there is still value to be found in looking for the fourth team. So, let’s take a look at the current odds:

Man City

Selections to watch

Given the low potential return for betting on Arsenal and Man City to finish in top 4, we will focus on the remaining teams in the race, while it’s also worth noting that this season finishing fifth in the Premier League also guarantees a spot in the Champions League.

Newcastle United

While the Magpies are currently tied with Chelsea in the fourth place in the EPL, they are seen as a slightly bigger favourites than the Blues to claim that fourth place in the end.

The next round will bring most of the excitement when the two teams meet in a head-to-head game in Newcastle, with the winner being more likely to finish fourth.

Meanwhile, Newcastle also have games against Arsenal and Everton, the first one away and the second one at home.

Chelsea

As we mentioned above, Chelsea are currently tied in points with Newcastle and their H2H duel in the next round is immensely important not just for them, but for other teams fighting for a top-four finish.

After Newcastle, the Blues will host Manchester United and then travel to meet with another team hoping to claim the fourth place in the league, Nottingham Forest. So, a pretty tough schedule for Chelsea.

Nottingham Forest

After winning just once in the last five Premier League matches, Forest are on a brink of disaster – not in terms of their final finish which will certainly exceed pre-season expectations, but in terms of where they were during the season. After all, the Garibaldis have been in second place for a while and were the main favourites to secure a top-four finish just a few weeks ago.

However, Forest will now have to fight to get back into top 4 or even stay in fifth, where they are now, to secure a spot in the Champions League. Their remaining matches are with Leicester and Chelsea at home, and West Ham away.

Aston Villa

The Villans have been in great form lately and thanks to this they managed to get involved in the race for the fourth place. They are currently sixth, three points behind Newcastle and Chelsea and one point behind Nottingham Forest.

Aston Villa will play with Bournemouth away in the next round, then host Tottenham, and finally travel to Manchester to meet with United in the last round.

Who will finish in the Premier League top 4? Here’s our prediction

We’re not raising any eyebrows here, but Arsenal and Manchester City will finish in top 4, along with the new champions Liverpool, so pretty much the only question remains which of the other teams will end in the fourth place in the standings.

Our pick, despite highest odds, is Aston Villa. While they play Tottenham and Man Utd, with those teams likely to meet in the Europa League final and their focus on that competition, we feel that Villa have the best schedule.

On top of that, Aston Villa aren’t scheduled to play any of the other candidates for the top-four finish and they are in great form, so we can see them coming out ahead of these other teams.
