Arne Slot withdrew from the League Managers Association’s annual awards dinner in London on Tuesday following the distressing incident at Liverpool’s Premier League victory parade. Slot, the head coach of Liverpool, was set to receive both the LMA’s and the Premier League’s manager of the year awards for securing the title in his debut season in English football. However, due to the incident in Liverpool city centre on Monday, where a car collided with a crowd on Water Street, injuring 65 people, Slot and a senior group of Liverpool officials decided against attending.
