Spurs Set for Bilbao Showdown — But No Cup Final Song, Says Postecoglou
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has dismissed the suggestion that his squad will release a cup final anthem ahead of their upcoming Europa League final against Manchester United.
Spurs fans will remember the iconic 1981 hit “Ossie’s Dream” by Chas & Dave, recorded with the squad to mark their FA Cup final appearance that year. The catchy tune referenced then-midfielder Ossie Ardiles and became a beloved part of the club’s history.
However, Postecoglou has no intention of reviving the tradition in 2025. Speaking after his team booked their place in the final following a commanding 5–1 aggregate victory over Bodø/Glimt, the Australian coach played down any talk of recording a commemorative track.
While Tottenham head to Bilbao with high hopes of lifting European silverware, fans hoping for another musical moment to accompany the journey will have to settle for memories of the past — no song is planned this time around.
