After 31 rounds of Ligue 1 action, things have gotten a little more interesting in the race to finish as the top goalscorer in France this season.
As we head down the home stretch, let’s take a look at who the current frontrunners are to finish as the leading marksman in the French top-flight this term.
Best Ligue 1 top scorer odds
Ousmane Dembele – 1/20
Ousmane Dembele remains out in front at the top of the Ligue 1 goalscoring charts, leading the way with 21 goals for the season.
However, it is worth noting that Dembele’s last goal in Ligue 1 was over one month ago. Given that PSG already have the title sewn up and will be focusing on the Champions League, Dembele’s grip at the top of the leaderboard is beginning to loosen.
That being said, the French forward is still as short as 1/20 to end the season top of the pile, though those skinny odds hold little appeal given the current state of play in the Ligue 1 goal scoring charts.
Mason Greenwood – 12/1
Mason Greenwood is hot on the heels of the aforementioned Dembele after netting his 19th Ligue 1 goal of the season on Sunday night against Brest. The Marseille forward now has three goals across his last two league outings and could be gearing up for a late charge to take the top goalscorer award.
Greenwood is now just two goals behind Dembele and therefore merits support at an eye-catching 12/1 for top goalscorer honours.
Jonathan David – 250/1
Despite ending his goal drought with a brace against Auxerre on matchday 30, Jonathan David has drifted out to a whopping 250/1 in the race for the top goalscorer prize. The Lille talisman is still on 16 Ligue 1 goals for the season after failing to fire against Angers on Sunday.
With David set to be in demand as a free agent this summer, he will be keen to end the season with a flourish, though overtaking both Dembele and Greenwood is increasingly looking like a bridge too far.
Bradley Barcola 500/1
Bradley Barcola started the season in brilliant form but has been unable to maintain those standards since then. In fact, Barcola has scored just three times in his last 17 Ligue 1 outings. As such, the French international’s odds for the top scorer award have drifted out to a hefty 500/1. Given his struggles in front of goal of late, Barcola looks too far back to be considered as a serious contender for the award.

Given the current lay of the land in the Ligue 1 goalscoring charts, the value lies with Mason Greenwood at 12/1 in the race to finish as top goalscorer. With Marseille involved in a thrilling fight for Champions League qualification, in-form Greenwood is almost certain to start their final three fixtures of the season.
The same can’t be said for current leading scorer Dembele given that PSG have bigger fish to fry, not to mention the newly-crowned champions no longer have the added incentive of going through the Ligue 1 season invincible.
