A sports bettor randomly encountered Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler on the street and yelled at the 36-year-old for losing a parlay bet. The footage reveals the frustrated bettor sitting in his car, shouting out the window at Butler. The six-time All-Star briefly responded to the comments. The frustration arose from a $3,000 parlay loss, as Butler didn’t score more than 30 points in a game. The clip concludes with the upset man accusing Butler: “You work for Vegas.”
Butler, who joined the Warriors from the Miami Heat in February, most recently scored over 30 points in the season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Texas native is familiar with betting himself, reportedly wagering with teammate Draymond Green that he’d end the 2025-26 season with a better free-throw percentage than Steph Curry.
NBA players often discuss the abuse they receive from disgruntled sports bettors. While much of it occurs on social media, there are also face-to-face encounters like this one.
