The match between AFC Rushden & Diamonds and Coventry Sphinx was halted on Saturday following alleged sexist abuse directed at a female referee, as reported by both clubs. The female official chose not to continue officiating after reportedly feeling uncomfortable due to a sexist remark made near the end of the first half. Efforts to identify the person responsible were unsuccessful, according to a statement from AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
