Head coach unlikely to test new tactics against Serbia
‘We still press, we still target opponents’
It was a striking appearance, hard to overlook, something only a top-tier footballer might pull off – and even then, opinions varied. Ezri Konsa arrived to discuss Thursday’s World Cup qualifier against Serbia at Wembley wearing what seemed to be a mix between slippers and oversized Crocs in a bright, fluorescent red.
A closer look revealed grooves and nodules on them, leading to the scientific claim: wearing these is said to enhance concentration. At least, that is the manufacturer’s assertion. Something about pressure points on the foot, perhaps. Was Konsa persuaded? Uncertain. What about Thomas Tuchel? Also unclear.
