Jacksonville Streaking: The Jaguars are 4–1 and Monday night’s 31–28 comeback win over Kansas City was huge for their confidence. Trevor Lawrence scrambled for the game-winning touchdown with 23 seconds left, converting on a clutch drive after Kansas City had reclaimed the lead. Seattle’s Road Success: Though the Seahawks dropped a 38–35 game at home to Tampa Bay last week, they have been better away from home. Seattle is 2–0 on the road this season and their coaching staff will likely lean on a mixture of running and short passing to keep control of the clock. Injuries in the secondary are a concern for Seattle, but they have been playing well for the most part.
Rest Advantage: Jacksonville will play on a short week after a Monday night game in Week 5. Seattle has had more time to prepare, which might help them in the end.
Quarterback Play
Trevor Lawrence has had an up-and-down season with six touchdown passes to five interceptions. He has shown an ability to escape pressure and create improvised plays with his legs, as showcased Monday night. The concern is whether Jacksonville’s offensive line holds up and provides him the clean pockets he needs to make good decisions with the ball.
Seattle’s Sam Darnold has helped his team to score over 30 points in three of their last four games. Darnold has nine touchdown passes to three interceptions and he will try to get Seattle back into the win column after last week’s loss.
